Over the years, Petty Enterprises, to collect 268 victories in what is now Sprint Cup Series, ten championships and nine Daytona 500 win from this facility. Now, Petty’s Garage will focus on manufacturing performance vehicles, including “museum quality” restoration of vintage race cars, custom cars and high performance road vehicles. The first complete car project is to build a Dodge Challenger for sale at Barrett-Jackson collector car auction in January 2010 by the Petty Family Foundation (PFF). Proceeds will benefit the PFF and support charity.

Barrett-Jackson also supports one-of-a-kind offers insurance for collector vehicles and other valuable belongings.

It would be truly an event where someone will get to have a well documented car built by one only, Richard Petty. ”
2009 Dodge Challenger completely dismantled and placed in a rotisserie so that trademarks can be painted in Petty Blue by BASF RM. Reassembly, including Late Model 426 by Arrington Engines Hemi with 585 hp, Pedders upgraded suspension, brakes Brembo Gran Turismo, the new Corsa Exhaust Garage Petty system with a custom center exit exhaust and refinished all the suspensions for Parts Petty Blue by BASF RM. Body modification consists of custom front fascia Petty Garage and rear bumper cover, custom garage Petty rocker panels, rear spoiler and Petty Garage interior designer seats and door panels.
“Challenger is special to me because I want to build something that I will be driving in every day,” said Petty. “I want to have cars racing cars visible, but functional in a way and I really think people were arrested. But most importantly it provides us with the platform foundation to help our Veterans, of children with life-threatening disease and our neighbors in need. All the people in the Garage Petty is excited to get this Challenger for Barrett-Jackson in January. I think it will do well when we got there. This clearly shows our ability and the auction will put us in front of people who just to show what we can do. “
